Welcome to Rocket Country! We are excited you have chosen to attend The University of Toledo, and we can’t wait for you to become part of our family. You are about to embark on one of the most exciting times in your life, and our mission is to help you transition to UT successfully by making this process as easy as possible.
Our number one priority is to provide you with the best possible education so you can walk across that stage at commencement a few years from now and feel confident that you are prepared to make a difference. This journey is just beginning, and the first important step toward helping you succeed is your participation in one of the orientation programs.
Consider this your first assignment. It is important that you read this entire booklet before beginning your registration process. You are not finished with the registration process until you have completed the following steps:
1. Set up your UTAD account
2. Log in to the UT portal and go to the New Student section to:
a. Find out which placement test(s) you need to take & complete the test(s) prior
to attending the Rocket Transition Program
b. Select a date to attend Rocket Transition and register for the program
c. Register for the Overnight Program (if you need it) and
d. Select the number of guests to accompany you
Rocket Launch is a one-day orientation program designed especially for you and your family. You will become acquainted with what to expect inside and outside of the classroom at UT, meet with academic advisers, receive important instruction in course registration, and complete vital procedural details, such as housing and financial aid. Rocket Launch and all related activities will introduce you and your family to the exciting and diverse academic opportunities available at UT.
