 UT Basics>TRIO Program

 
 

 

 

UT's Trio Program is designed to assist you with the following:

  • Student development orientation courses

  • Tutoring

  • Courses in basic skills

  • Strategic academic advising and counseling

  • Peer mentoring

  • Career and personal counseling

  • Cultural activities

  • Group instruction in high risk courses such as biology, chemistry, and math

To be eligible for the Trio Program, a student must be a first-generation college student (neither parent has a four-year college degree), demonstrate a high financial need (according to guidelines established by U. S. Department of Education), or have a documented (physical or learning) disability.
